A NO PDA sign would be found in a school or some place where nobody wants to see PDA. The goal of this sign is nobody doing PDA.
A NO SHOES sign would be found on precious, rare grass or a place where shoes would not be wanted because it may cause damage to something. The goal of this sign is for people not to wear shoes in the area of the sign.
NO FILMING would be found in a police scene or place where people or a business do not want to be filmed. The goal of this sign is to prevent filming in areas where the sign is up.
Assignment #2 - Self Portrait
1) What color scheme did you use? Name the colors for the color scheme.
I used Primary and Secondary color schemes in this assignment. I used red, blue, pink, tan, brow, and white.
2) What Illustrator tools did you use to complete the assignment.
I used the pen tool, rotation tool, blob brush tool, selection tool, rectangle tool, eye dropper tool, Blend tool, and the zoom tool.
3) Tell me about your work: favorite part and least favorite part.
My favorite part of this assignment was being able to take a picture of myself and recreate it. Using the blob brush and pen tool were easy. However, when making the shapes inside my face (value) I had trouble. My least favorite part of this assignment was the value because I had trouble with it.
4) What would you do differently next time.
Next time I would work harder on making the value look natural and the overall image to look more geometric.
Assignment # 3 - Fruit Face
1) What objects did you use and why?
Ground beef for the hair, a slice of pizza for the nose, a piece of fried chicken for the eyebrow, sausage links for the lips, an oreo for the eye, a pear as the ear, watermelon for the chin, ribs as the body, bacon as the tie, and a cookie face.
2) Tell me about your work: Favorite part and least favorite part?
My favorite part of this assignment is the ground beef hair because it looks good as hair. My least favorite part is the fried chicken eyebrow because you can't really see it that well.
3) What would you do differently next time?
Next time I would use more variety and make all parts of face blend well together.
